Are You Prepared???
Do you ever look around at this wonderful country we live in and think how in the world would we ever run out of food?? We live in a world of abundance!! Our grocers shelves are packed, everything we could possibly want is at our finger tips!!
Did you know that a typical grocery store has about 3 days of food on its shelves? So if a store was not able to receive shipment because of flooding, fires, tornados ect the food would be gone. What if there was a warning of disaster approaching?? We all know that those same grocery shelves WILL be depleted in minutes!
How much food do you have in your house to feed yourself and your family?
Maybe you think natural disasters wont happen in your area and there is no need to have a food storage. Maybe your right.
What about personal disasters? For instance you lose your job, I believe we live in a time where no one really has a job that is secure. With the way the economy is today no one knows for sure how long they will be employed. It takes the average person anywhere from 21-29 weeks to find a job according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. How wonderful would it be to not have to worry how your family is going to eat while you are looking for work. Maybe you are one of the lucky ones and this is not situation that you will ever be in. Maybe your right.
It wasnt to long ago that I clearly remember watching the news and listening to all these people that thought that the housing market was going to to continue to go up for years to come and everyone was buying over valued houses. Then the bubble burst and the housing market crashed. They all thought that it wouldnt happen to them.
Food Storage is more than being prepared for the end of the world. Its about being prepared to take care of your family regardless of what life throws your way. Its about having one less thing to worry about in an already stressful situation.
One thing I do know, is that without food storage I am leaving the future of my family in the hands of those around me and that is not a risk I am willing to take.
Life may be great and peaceful now but remember it wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.

How much do Shelf Reliance Consultants Make??
I often get asked how much Shelf Reliance Consultants make. Seeing how we are not launched here in Canada as of right now I dont have personal experience with each level. As I go through each level I will post what my personal averages are but for now here is my best answer.
Shelf Reliance consultants are independent and can work as little or as much as they want. Whatever fits their life and desire. What a consultant makes is directly tied to how much work they are willing to do. This is a real business that takes real work. But when a consultant works hard the possible income is limitless. There are no sale or party quotas. When a consultant signs up she/he pays a $200.00 kit fee. The kit contains business supplies, and food supplies. A consultant is also required to have an active THRIVE Q.
Shelf Reliance is a multi-level marketing company. The levels are consultant, mentor, director, executive, silver executive, gold executive, and platinum executive.
The following information is based off of the February 2011 company numbers. As the company grows these numbers will go up. The average party is around $900.00 so if a consultant has 4 average parties they are at the mentor level.
As a Consultant the average commission is $60 a month. This would pay for your Q which in essence mean you are getting your food storage for "free". Or at least the cost of your time to do about one party a month. This is good in that you are not subtracting from the household budget while accumulating your food storage.
As a Mentor the average check is $400. This is significantly more than $60 and the sooner you can hit this rank the better because you also receive corporate leads when you hit mentor. An extra $400 coming in can make the difference a lot of us are looking for.
As a Director the average check is $800.
As an Executive Director the average commission check is $1000. This is nearly a house payment a car payment and groceries. This is the extra fun stuff you want but don't want to purchase with your spouse's hard earned money.
As a Silver Executive the average check is $2000
As a Gold Executive the average commission in a month is $3000, here you are replacing income.
As a Platinum Executive the average commission in one month is $6000! And this number will only get bigger as your team grows.

Why I Chose to Become a Shelf Reliance Consultant
One of my goals has been to get a full 2 year supply of food storage for my family of 6. I have always felt overwhelmed with this goal for a few reasons. 1. I dont have the space. 2. It is a huge upfront cost and 3. Where do I even begin??
I came across a company called Shelf Reliance at an Emergency Preparedness Event. I absolutely LOVED everything that I tasted, I loved that the food is freeze dried, I loved that you can earn FREE food storage just by hosting a party and even earn money by choosing to become a consultant.
I went home that night so excited and for the next few weeks I started reading EVERYTHING I could find on Shelf Reliance and their food THRIVE. Then I went to a conference for Women and once again Shelf Reliance had a booth set up there. That is when my decision was clear. I wanted to be involved with this company. I wanted to have THRIVE food in my home for my family and what better way then to become a consultant and get paid for not only building my own food storage but educating others on the importance of being prepared for not only natural disasters but your own personal emergencies that we all have happen every now and then.
I am so excited to embark on this journey of becoming self reliant and helping others to do the same
